Finding the time to exercise

“I don’t have time to exercise” is the most common reason why people don’t!

I have always been a strong believer that if you want it bad enough, then nothing will get in the way. Yes, I know some days are hard to fit in that time, particularly mums! However do you have time to scroll through Facebook? Or watch that new episode of Game of Thrones?

20-30mins of exercise a day will drastically increase your overall health. If you feel too exhausted, then believe it or not doing a workout will make you feel 10 times better. Working out helps you sleep better at night, your body produces endorphins which is the ‘happy hormone’ and you will get more energy with everyday activities.

To all the mums out there you can even use your baby as the weight! Simple exercises such as squats, lunges, sit-ups and shoulder press are so achievable and your baby loves it! If you don’t have time in the morning or get home from work late, then the best two options are a lunch time workout or suck it up and put your phone on the other side of the room so when your alarm goes off you have to physically get up to turn it off, so why not get changed and go to the gym instead of getting an extra 60 mins sleep and feeling sluggish when you wake up.

Now that’s Monday-Friday hurdles covered, on the weekends why not get up early and grab a coffee and go for a nice coast walk with a girlfriend or partner? This will put you on the right track to a good weekend and early morning cardio is a great weight to get rid of those stubborn fat cells!

Stop making excuses and start making a plan!
