Measurements vs Scales

Measurements vs Scales

Measurements vs Scales

Muscle weighs more than fat! Everyone knows it, so why do we continue to obsess over a number on the scale?

This is going to sound like a broken record, but weight is just a number! Don’t beat yourself up on being a couple of kilos over your “pre-baby weight” or your “wedding weight.” If you feel good and you look good then isn’t that what really matters?

When I first started training in the gym I didn’t know what the hell I was doing, so all I did was run on the treadmill for an hour and do some abs (boring!). I always had a super fast metabolism so I was burning off so much that I got down to 49kg, which at the time I still wasn’t happy with. I became obsessed with the scales and would consider myself ‘fat’ when I got to 50kg, what a joke! Then I was introduced to strength training and I’ve never looked back. In the 5 years I’ve been training I have gained 10kg but kept a healthy body fat percentage.

I am more confident in my body now than I ever was at 49kg. I no longer weigh myself, instead get measured every 4-6 weeks and get a body fat test done.

At Bodyright Bootcamp we offer a 6 week Program which includes a 2x 10min one on one consultation where we do measurements before and after the program to see how much you have toned up!

Stay happy and healthy!
